It’s Popcorn Time!
So you’ve got a great program plan, but how are you going to pay for it?
Fund your entire Scouting year with Popcorn Sales! Selling popcorn helps
reduce out-of-pocket expenses for Scouting families. Money earned can be
used to cover camporees, Pinewood Derby races, equipment, badges and
advancement, and summer camp. Sign up to sell popcorn at
Set Your Sights On Fun At the Shoot-O-Ree
Test your marksmanship and sharpen your eagle eye during the Shoot-O-Ree
Saturday at Beaumont Scout Reservation. Age-appropriate shooting activities
will be available for Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, and Venturers to participate

Activities run all day, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Cost is $10 for Cub Scouts and $15
for Scouts BSA and Venturers.

Local businesses and organizations that host Scout workshops will be in
attendance to share their schedules and offer a taste of their programs
with hands-on activities for the whole family to enjoy. The event host, Amp

Hey Cub Scouts, be sure to begin your Scouting year with Cub Launch next

Cabela’s Merit Badge Skill Centers
September is Scouts BSA month at Cabela’s and Bass Pro Shops. The stores
will be offering skill centers throughout September for Fishing, Fish &
Wildlife Management, and Rifle Shooting merit badges. Click here

Catholic Encounter Weekend
Join Scouts BSA and Venturers from around the Archdiocese for a weekend of
camping and outdoor fun with challenging games, adoration, music and more
during Encounter Weekend
, Sept. 13-15 at Beaumont Scout Reservation. The weekend can also be used
to fulfill the retreat requirement for Ad Altare Dei and Pope Pius awards.
Fall Fun Rally
Join hundreds of Venturers, Sea Scouts, Explorers, and older Scouts for an
event-filled weekend during Fall Fun Rally
Sept. 20-22 at Beaumont Scout Reservation. With more than 100 activities,
trainings, demonstrations, and competitions, Fall Fun Rally is a unique
event drawing participants from all over the country!
Scout and Adult Fishing Day
Webelos, Scouts BSA, and Venturers can enjoy a day of fishing on Nim’s Lake
at S bar F Scout Ranch on Sept. 21. Attendance prizes, coffee, milk and

Mom & Me
We’ve got the perfect recipe for an unforgettable weekend during Mom & Me
Sept. 27-29 at Camp Warren Levis. This popular event includes Scouting
favorites such as archery and BB guns, but sprinkles of candy-themed fun
will be mixed in throughout the weekend to ensure that everyone has a sweet
Intro To Outdoor Leader Skills
If you’re a new Scoutmaster or assistant Scoutmaster, take Intro To Outdoor
Leader Skills
(IOLS) to complete your required leader training. This hands-on program
gives leaders a practical introduction to the patrol method by teaching
many of the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in the
outdoors. Course offered Oct. 18-20 at Beaumont Scout Reservation.
Cub Scout Leader Training
During this course, leaders will learn about Cub Scout camping
opportunities, facilities and procedures; basic camping and cooking skills;
and outdoor activities. Open to all leaders within the Pack. Courses
scheduled for Oct. 5-6 at Camp Vandeventer or Oct. 12-13 at Beaumont Scout
Challenge Course Training
Learn the basic skills of safety, equipment, games and fun that all three
of the council’s challenge courses offer. The next challenge course training
begins Wednesday, Sept. 18 at Beaumont Scout Reservation and the Belleville
Service Center. Participants are required to attend the weekend course,
Sept. 28-29 at S bar F Scout Ranch, to complete the training.
